MADINA – A fire has broke out in the hotel situated in Madina Munawwaracurrently where Umrah pilgrims are staying.

According to the initial media reports fire was caused by short-circuit ina room located on the 14th floor of the hotle.

Umrah pilgrims from Pakistan, Egypt, Syrian and Iraq were staying thehotel, reports further added.

More than 250 Pkaisyani have reached to Saudia Arabia to perform Umrah inthe last few weeks.

As per media reports, rescue operations are under way and rescue teams aremaking their best efforts to evacuate the hotel.

In February 2014 in the same incident at least 15 people were killed and130 others were wounded in a fire that broke out at a hotel used by Muslimpilgrims in Madinah.
