NEW DELHI – Afghanistan National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib on Fridayarrived in India.
He met his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval in New Delhi where they discussedissues around the Afghan peace and regional stability, the NationalSecurity Advisor’s office said in a statement.
The two sides also discussed Afghanistan’s security situation, Afghan-ledand Afghan-owned peace process, parliamentary elections and the upcomingpresidential elections in the country, the statement said.
Mohib thanked India for its participation in Afghanistan’s infrastructureprojects and providing trainings for Afghan Security and Defense Forces,the statement added.
“Held productive meetings in India with my counterpart NSA Ajit Doval andother security officials on regional stability, the democratic progress andongoing peace efforts in Afghanistan, and bilateral security cooperation,”Mohib tweeted.
