Polling underway at Parliament & four Provincial Assemblies to elect 13th President

Polling is in progress at the Parliament House in Islamabad and the four provincial assemblies for election of the President.
The voting process would continue till four in the afternoon without any break.
In Islamabad, where Senators and Members of the National Assembly are casting their votes, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court is acting as Presiding Officer.
The polling is taking place through secret ballot.
There are three candidates in the run for the coveted office PTI's Dr. Arif Alvi, PML (N) supported Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PPP's Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan.
Punjab
The polling process for Presidential election began at Punjab Assembly Building in Lahore a short while ago.
Abdul Aleem Khan of PTI cast the first vote.
Election Commissioner Punjab, Zafar Iqbal Hussain is performing duties as Returning Officer while Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Mr. Justice Yawar Ali as Presiding Officer.
A total of 354 MPAs of Punjab Assembly can cast their votes, for whom two polling booths have been setup. There will be a ban on carrying mobile phone and clicking picture of ballot paper in the polling booth.
Sindh
In Sindh,163 members of provincial assembly out of 168 will cast their vote for presidential election.
Chief Justice Sindh High Court, Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh is performing the duty of presiding officer and staff of Provincial Election Commission, Sindh assist him.
Smartphone and camera are prohibited in the polling station and polling booth.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Polling for the Presidential Election also underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Peshawar.
A total of one hundred and twelve MPAs will cast their votes in the Presidential Election.
At the moment, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has seventy-nine members in the assembly and twenty-seven of joint opposition, PPP five and PML (Q) one.
Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth is acting as Returning Officer in the election.
Quetta
Like other provinces of the country, polling for presidential election is in progress at Balochistan Provincial Assembly in a candid atmosphere.
The members of provincial assembly are casting votes in favor of their desirous candidates.
Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar is acting as Presiding Officer.
Meanwhile, tight security measures have been taken in and around the provincial Assembly building.
