KARACHI: Four terrorists were killed in a shootout with Karachi police in Quetta Town, Sachal. SSP Rao Anwar said police conducted a raid in the area after getting information on the presence of Ansarul Shariah members.
Anwar informed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Mullah Fazlullah's cousin, Khursheed, was among the slain terrorists. He claimed Khursheed has been involved in various incidents of terrorism, including the attack on education activist Malala Yousafzai and attacks on law enforcement personnel.
Earlier, police claimed to have nabbed at least eight suspects in raids in the posh Defence locality as well as Malir and Sohrab Goth after an even earlier raid today resulted in the death of a policeman and escape of Siddiqui.
The first raid, conducted in the city's Kaneez Fatima Society locality, was conducted along with personnel of intelligence agencies on a tip-off.
Anwar said they were informed about the presence of terrorists in a house in the neighbourhood after which they raided the area.
