Australian cricketer Steve Smith, in an ICC segment that also featured several Pakistan players, humorously and warmly associated Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, with the cover drive shot.
In this segment, the players were asked a simple yet meaningful question: "What do you think of when you hear 'cover drive'?" The players interviewed included Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Steve Smith, Imam-ul-Haq, and Hasan Ali.
Interestingly, all of them immediately mentioned "Babar Azam," recognizing his exceptional skill in executing the cover drive, a shot that has become synonymous with the Pakistani skipper.
