The Lahore police sought arrest of two sisters of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in connection with the violent incidents on May 9. In response, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore granted an extension of their temporary bails until October 16. The court also called for lawyers to present final arguments in the case related to the vandalism and arson at the Lahore Corps Commander House.
During the bail proceedings, Uzma Khan, one of the accused, appealed for justice, emphasizing their consistent attendance in court. She expressed her willingness to face imprisonment if it was deemed just. Her lawyer, Burhan Muazzam, intervened to halt her further comments, while Aleema added that they were solely seeking justice.
Previously, the police had sought the arrest of these three individuals, asserting their guilt as determined during the investigation.
The investigation officer stated that the joint investigation team had identified Asad Umar, Aleema Khan, and Uzma Khan as culpable, underscoring the necessity of their arrest for further investigation.
