Riyadh: The Saudi Passport and Immigration Department, a sub-department of the Ministry of Interior, is responsible for the residence, entry, exit, and final exit procedures of foreign residents in the country according to the laws.
In this regard, the Saudi government has made an important announcement regarding the extension of residence permits and visas for foreign nationals who have come to the country for employment.
The Saudi Passport Department has stated that the extension of visas for foreign nationals who have left the country on exit and re-entry can be done online within the visa's validity period.
According to the Subaq website, the extension of exit and re-entry visas for foreign nationals present abroad can be sponsored.
A question was raised on the Passport Department's website by a user asking whether the exit and re-entry of such foreign nationals who have left the country can be renewed.
In response, the department's spokesperson explained that if a foreign national is sponsored, their exit and re-entry visa can be renewed online.
For this, first, the fee must be paid through Sadad, and then the extension can be done on the Absher or Resident Portal.
