Asad Umer makes a surprise claim about Imran Khan

On Wednesday, Asad Umar, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former finance minister, expressed confidence that the PTI chief would be cleared of all charges, emphasizing that his party would actively participate in upcoming elections.

Responding to the homecoming of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz's public gathering in Lahore, Asad Umar, the former federal minister, spoke to the media outside an anti-terrorism court.

He characterized the event as a modest gathering rather than a large-scale rally, stating, "It's more accurate to call it a small gathering, not a grand 'Jalsa'."

Umar noted that Nawaz Sharif had finally obtained some medical treatment after three years, expressing gratitude for this development. However, he also suggested that Nawaz Sharif should have returned sooner and, upon his return, should face imprisonment.
