United Nations cannot ignore Occupied Kashmir any more: New York Times

ISLAMABAD - Prominent US daily the New York Times says the United Nations cannot ignore Kashmir anymore.

The paper in its editorial terms absurd the claim by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that revocation of occupied Kashmir’s special status meant that the people there have got equal rights with other Indians, pointing out that the disputed state was under martial law.

The paper says Modi’s clampdown on Kashmir would only make life more miserable for Kashmiris and will heighten tensions in the region.
