Sindh High Court announces verdict in MNA Faisal Vawda disqualification case

ISLAMABAD - Sindh High Court (SHC) has turned down the petition of the opposition leader in National Assembly and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif against Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Friday.
Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif had moved the court to declare the PTI leader ineligible by challenging Faisal Vawda’s success in NA-249 in general elections 2018.
Shahbaz Sharif had taken the stance that Faisal Vawda had rigged the elections and requested the tribunal to nullify the polls.
Later, talking to newsmen at the high court Faisal Vawda thanked the Almighty that the verdict came in his favor.
It may be remembered that Faisal Vawda had bagged 35,344 votes while Shahbaz Sharif received 34,626 votes in NA-249 in General Election.
