In the 35th match of the ICC World Cup 2023, to be held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, India, on Saturday, there is a possibility of a significant change in Pakistan. Considering the playing conditions, under the leadership of Babar Azam, the unit could go with four fast bowlers, meaning Hasan Ali, leg-spinner Usama Mir might make a return instead of playing Aliyan.
The decision will be made after assessing the pitch and weather conditions in the morning, as there is a 50% chance of rain in Bangalore tomorrow.
Usama Mir made a return to playing XI against South Africa in Chennai when Shadab Khan was injured during the first over of the Proteas innings. After not participating in matches against Bangladesh, Shadab is now back in training, but the medical panel of the team has not made any decision about his participation in the match next week, and it will be assessed again by the panel in the morning.
Imam-ul-Haq, the left-handed opener, felt discomfort in his neck during this time and did not take part in Friday's training. Besides Shadab and Imam, all Pakistani players are fit for the important matches against New Zealand.
The possible Pakistan XI against New Zealand could be Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam (Captain), Mohammad Rizwan (Wicketkeeper), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Agha Salman, Mohammad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf."
