Former Skipper Shahid Afridi rejected PCB big offer

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has declined to assume any role within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee. This decision followed a meeting between Afridi and Zada Ashraf, the chairman of the PCB Management Committee in Lahore on a Friday.

The primary topic of discussion during their encounter at the Qaddafi Stadium Lahore was the current performance of the national cricket team. Notably, Afridi did not engage with the media and left the stadium without making any statements.

Within the course of their meeting, Ashraf conveyed his admiration for Afridi's dedication and contributions to the sport. The PCB issued a statement highlighting Ashraf's words:

"We admire you as a hero of Pakistan, and you have proved to be a great ambassador of the country with both your exceptional talent displayed on the field and your conduct off the field. We would love to have your experience for the betterment of Pakistan cricket."

Afridi, a former all-rounder, expressed his interest in nurturing young cricketers to become future stars and positive representatives of Pakistan cricket. He also took the opportunity to acknowledge and commend Ashraf's efforts and contributions to Pakistan cricket.
