Fakhar Zaman makes World Cup history with remarkable century

National team opener Fakhar Zaman became the first Pakistani batsman to hit more than 10 boundaries in an innings in the history of the World Cup.

Fakhar Zaman scored a century against New Zealand with 63 balls and an unbeatable 126 runs off 81 balls. His innings included 11 boundaries and 8 fours.

The world record for hitting the most boundaries in a single World Cup innings is held by former British captain Eoin Morgan, who hit 17 boundaries against Afghanistan in the 2019 World Cup.

Former West Indian batsman Chris Gayle is in second place with 16 boundaries against Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup, while New Zealand's Martin Guptill is third with 11 boundaries against the West Indies in the 2015 World Cup.
