ISLAMABAD - PM Imran Khan formally launches yet another initiative to facilitate eligible unemployed youth due coronavirus pandemic crisis.

PM Imran Khan formally launched an online portal to financially facilitate eligible people who had been laid off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Through this project, payments from the PM COVID-19 Relief Fund will be transferred under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash to help those who have lost their jobs due to the current situation.

A web portal has been created which can be accessed at ehsaaslabour.nadra.gov.pk/ehsaas/ and people who are eligible have been asked to apply. The eligibility can be checked from the drop-down menu in the application form. ------------------------------

The Prime Minister, while remarking on the occasion, said that the government was lending support to the underprivileged through the Ehsaas program which was unparalleled in the country’s history. He added that so far, in the past three weeks, over PKR 83 billion had been dispersed amongst 6.8 million families.

He said that in the next step, the people who had lost their jobs will be helped and anyone who has lost their job can visit the website and register themselves. He admitted that a large segment of people didn’t know how to go about this and they should seek help from students and the Tiger Force.

“The distribution will be made on merit and there would be no political interference. All deserving will get the support on merit irrespective of their political affiliations,” he added.
