New developments reported in Missing Person Commission case

*ISLAMABAD: The Missing Person Commission disposed of 3,793 cases out of 6,051 cases up to April 30.*

According to a report of the Commission issued on Saturday, a total number of 5,915 cases were received by the Missing Person Commission of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) up to end of March this year.

During last month 136 more cases were received by the Missing Person Commission and the total numbers of cases reached to 6051.

Chairman of Missing Person Commission Javed Iqbal and members have not only given personal hearings to each family of missing person but they also tried their best efforts for the earliest recovery of missing persons.

The report on missing person has been compiled by Missing Person Commissioner Secretary Fareed Ahmed.

On May 2, a bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) had rejected the police report with regard to four missing persons including a head constable of Karachi Central Jail police.

The police had informed the high court that Lyari gangster Uzair Jan Baloch had allegedly killed four missing’ persons after their abduction.

A two-judge bench of the court headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto had summoned provincial home secretary in the hearing of case on May 30.
