Hurriyet leaders illegal detention in IOK denounced

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has expressed serious concern over the continued house arrest of the APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani and General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmed Shah.
According top KMS, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the cruel and inhuman treatment meted out to Syed Ali Gilani and Shabbir Ahmad Shah clearly showed how much the authorities were afraid of their firm resolve, determination and steadfastness. He also condemned the continued illegal detention of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi. He said that caging of pro-freedom leaders would not affect the ongoing freedom movement.
Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi also denounced the use of brute force on protesting students by Indian forces in Budgam district. He said that Indian police resorted to intense teargas shelling on the protesting students that created a lot of inconvenience to patients and attendants at Budgam hospital.
Meanwhile, APHC leader, Bilal Siddiqui, in a statement in Srinagar expressed deep concern over the apathetic and brute approach of the authorities of India's Jaipur and Tihar jails against the Kashmiri detainees.
He said that Kashmiri prisoners were subjected to harsh treatment and denied medical facilities. He said that reports from these jails were disturbing. He said that jail authorities were creating unnecessary hurdles in the meetings of the inmates with their families and necessary medical facilities were not provided to the prisoners. (APP)
