CTD Punjab killed two key terrorists in an encounter in Lahore

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has said two suspects who had been taken into custody in connection with the bomb blast at Anarkali Lahore have been killed in an exchange of fire with their accomplices.
The suspects were being taken to Khokhar Pind for the recovery of weapons and explosives.
As soon as they reached close to their hideout, their four accomplices link opened fire at the CTD personnel which led to an encounter. Consequently, Abdur Razzaq and Sanaullah were killed, the sources elaborated.
They further said that the assailants managed to flee after the incident while the CTD personnel had launched manhunt after taking their rifles and bullets into their possession.
In January last, at least three people had been killed and 20 others injured in a powerful bomb blast link at the Paan Mandi in Lahore's famous Anarkali link market.
Lahore police spokesperson Rana Arif confirmed the death of three persons in the blast that shattered windows of nearby shops and buildings, Dawn newspaper reported.
According to police, the blast took place near the Paan Mandi, where Indian commodities are sold.
