British PM Theresa May message for Muslims on Eid Ul Fitr

LONDON - The Muslims of the United Kingdom (UK) on Tuesday celebrated Eid Ul Fitr the the culmination of the Holy month o Ramazan with religious fervour and enthusiasm.
The day dawn with Fajr prayers at different Mosques in the UK for solidarity and unity among Muslim Ummah, world peace and resolution of the conflicts being faced by the Muslims, especially in Palestine, Yamen and Kashmir and peace in Afghanistan.
Big congregations were held at Mosques and other open places in London, Birmingham, Bradford, Glasgow and Manchester where the Ulema and prayer leaders highlighted the significance and the philosophy of Fasting in the Holy month by the faithful to invoke the blessings of Allah in this world and hereafter.
British-Pakistani and Kashmiri Muslims on the occasion along with their fellow UK Muslims offered their prayers , exchanged greetings and reiterated to promote the true message of the Fasting for interfaith harmony ,Islamic brotherhood, global peace and generosity.
They on the occasion also prayed for the success of the democratic government in Pakistan and the socio-economic prosperity of the country and wellbeing of its people, end of terrorism and corruption,besides praying for the success of Pakistani cricket team in the ICC World Cup 2019 hosted by the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile,Prime Minister Theresa May in her message on occasion of Eid al-Fitr said "I want to send my very best wishes to Muslims at home and around the world celebrating the
festival of Eid al-Fitr". She said that for more than three million British Muslims, the joyous occasion of Eid, spent with family and loved ones, marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
"Over the last month, many British Muslims have shared the holy practices of Ramadan with neighbours of all faiths and none – from doing charity work in the local community to preparing meals for the elderly or coming together to break the fast at the end of the day", she remarked.
The British Prime Minister said that during Ramadan, as at many other times of the year, "I see the very best of the values which unite us all: of tolerance, of respect, and of selflessness".
"Sadly, there are those who only seek to sow division and to spread fear and hatred in our communities. This year we have seen despicable acts of terrorism targeted against Muslims both abroad and on UK soil, on innocent people attending their place of worship or going about their daily lives", she observed.
Theresa May said that there can be no place in our societies for the vile ideology that incites hatred and fear, and I stand with Muslims here in the UK and around the world against those who seek to destroy our values.
"So as we come together in celebration this Eid – to share meals and gifts with families, friends and colleagues – let us remain steadfast in the values we share";she said .
