SC suspends LHC verdict on nomination forms of candidates

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the verdict of Lahore High Court regarding nomination papers after approving the petition of Election Commission of Pakistan. 

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar in his remarks said elections will be held on 25th of July at all costs.

Chief Justice warned that Election Commission will be held responsible for any delay in election. 

 Lahore High Court had scrapped the new Nomination Papers for election candidates.

The decision of Lahore High Court regarding nomination papers was challenged in the Supreme Court today by Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq and Election Commission of Pakistan.AP
