Balochistan govt increased welfare fund for journalists' betterment to Rs 200M

ISLAMABAD: Concrete measures are being taken for welfare of journalists and provision of best possible facilities to them in Balochistan province.
A spokesman of Provincial Information Department told Radio Pakistan Quetta correspondent today that welfare fund for betterment of journalists has been increased from 30 million to 200 million rupees in the provincial budget for new fiscal year 2018-19. Steps are also being taken to provide all modern facilities to the Press Club Quetta and under this objective, the annual grant of the Press Club has been enhanced from ten million to 20 million rupees.
Besides a Newspaper Market has also been established for convenience of local hawkers and a fund of 11 million rupees allocated in the new budget for welfare of hawkers.
