CDWP accords approval to eight mega projects

ISLAMABAD - Central Development Working Party has accorded approval to eight projects worth about 11 billion rupees.

The CDWP, which met in Islamabad today with Planning Minister Khusro Bakhtyar in the chair, also recommended eight projects worth 206 billion rupees to ECNEC for consideration.

The projects, which were approved by the CDWP include establishment of Post Graduate Center for Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture and Health Sciences worth of 527 million rupees, Consultancy Services for Feasibility study of solar water pumping in Baluchistan area worth 195 million rupees, evacuation of Power from Swabi Grid Station worth 747 million rupees, Feasibility and system definition study of Pakistan Optical Remote Sensing Satellite, and Promotion of Trout Farming in Northern areas of Pakistan" worth 2.355 million rupees.

The CDWP also approved Calf feedlot fattening worth over 2 billion rupees, Prime Minister Initiative for Backyard Poultry" worth 1.7 billion rupees, and Provision of Security Infrastructure in Malakand, Swat and other conflict areas of KP (Revised)" worth 2.9 billion rupees.
