National Voters Day to be organised by ECP

ISLAMABAD (APP): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday declared December 7, 2016 as National Voters Day to create awareness among the people about their right to vote.
Special programmes, including a national seminar at Convention Centre Islamabad along with debates, social activities media activities and conferences at regional level, would be organized on the day, an ECP spokesman said in a statement.
He said the ECP would also prepare small documentaries, television commercials, public service messages to educate masses on vote and civic education related topics.
The main content would include how to get registered as voter,why and how to cast vote, what is ECP and its mandate, he added.
