Good News for the Overseas Pakistanis

Overseas Pakistanis can now avoid the complexities of physical visits and extensive paperwork when granting Power of Attorney (PoA) in their home country, thanks to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) launching a user-friendly digital PoA service.
This innovative approach eliminates geographical constraints, enabling individuals holding a valid National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), or Pakistan Origin Card (POC) to easily confer PoA to individuals residing in Pakistan.
The streamlined process involves six straightforward steps:
1. **Be an overseas Pakistani.** 2. **Possess valid ID documents for yourself, your attorney, and any witnesses (CNIC/NICOP/POC).** 3. **Have a valid email address, contact number, and mailing address outside Pakistan.** 4. **Gather your biometric data (fingerprints) for yourself and two witnesses, and proceed with a quick online payment using your credit or debit card.** 5. **Scan a copy of the original PoA, complete with signatures, thumb impressions, and your photo.** 6. **Provide accurate details for your attorney and witnesses, as precision in this information is crucial.**
This initiative not only simplifies the PoA process but also facilitates the legal empowerment of overseas Pakistanis by leveraging digital advancements and reducing the barriers associated with physical documentation and visits.
