PM Imran Khan’s warning to the civil bureaucracy

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that a wrongdoing officer would not be transferred, but sacked.
Addressing a ceremony on the second anniversary of Citizen Portal on Friday, he said that three million people had used Citizen Portal to lodge their complaints.
"Through Citizen Portal, it will become easy to evaluate the performance of departments and bureaucracy. It will resolve the problems of the masses. There is a dire need of local government as well," he added.
The prime minister said that the British had meted out slave-like treatment to locals here before the Partition. "After their departure, the rulers also considered citizens their slaves," he added.
