KABUL - Afghan Governor Shukrullah Shakir killed in a bomb blast in the western province of Herat.
Shukrullah Shakir, the district governor of Zenda Jan district in the western province of Herat, was killed in a roadside bomb blast on Saturday, sources confirmed.
The incident happened in Zenda Jan district when a vehicle carrying the district governor hit a roadside bomb.
Two others were also killed in the incident, sources said.
The provincial governor’s spokesman Jailani Farhad confirmed the incident but did not give details about the casualties.
