Five dacoits killed in an encounter with Punjab Police

Five alleged dacoits were killed reportedly in an encounter with police at Nowshera Jadeed area of Ahmedpur Sharqia on Sunday night.
According to the police’s version, when cops reached the crime scene after receiving information that nine ‘robbers' had snatched a motorbike, a cellphone and cash from a man, they were fired at by the outlaws, which led to a retaliatory fire by the police. “As a result of which five dacoits were killed,” the spokesman for the Force said, and added, “Those killed in the encounter belonged to Hassam Meorra gang.”
