US drone strike in Afghanistan near Pakistan border, top ISIS leader killed

KABUL - Top ISIS leader was killed in a drone strike which was conducted in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Tuesday night.
The provincial government media office in a statement said foreign forces carried out an airstrike using unmanned aerial vehicle which targeted a group of ISIS militants in Abdul Khel area of Achin district, Khaama Press has reported.
The statement furhter added that a prominent leader of ISIS Khurasan identified as Mawlavi Sulaiman was killed in the airstrike together with his four fighters.
Some weapons and munitions were also destroyed during the same airstrike, the provincial government added.
The anti-government armed militants including ISIS loyalists have not commented regarding the airstrike so far.
