President asks CII to create public awareness about social issues

President Dr. Arif Alvi says the Council of Islamic Ideology has a crucial role in creating public awareness about important social issues.
Talking to a delegation of the Council, led by Professor Dr. Qibla Ayaz in Islamabad today (Wednesday), he especially laid emphasis on creating awareness about cleanliness, inheritance, malnutrition and clean and green Pakistan.
The President said laws alone are not enough, rather the Pulpit must be used to motivate people to abide by those laws.
Professor Dr. Qibla Ayaz informed the President that the Council is already working on some of these issues in collaboration with Ministry of Climate Change and Ministry of Human Rights.
