ATC adjourns Barrister Fahad murder case hearing till April 10

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) resumed the hearing of a case pertaining to murder of Barrister Fahad Malik whereas cross examination of the witness, investigation officer of the case was completed by the defense on the day.

The ATC Judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi heard the case whereas the Investigation Officer Muhammad Yousaf was present in the court whose examination in chief had been recorded a month ago but cross examination was pending due to absence of Fahad Malik’s counsel Akram Qureshi for almost last four hearings. Earlier, the prosecution had objected about the questions by the defense counsel from the IO giving reference of Section 162 of law of evidence, which barred defense to ask such questions from the witness.

The court after completion of cross examination directed to record the statement of all the accused under section 342 of Cr.PC in next hearing. All the three accused Nauman Khokhar, Raja Arshad and Hashim were present in the court. The court was adjourned till April 10 in the matter.
