PTI Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and three brothers face fraud allegations

In Karachi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and his three siblings face allegations in a fraud case. The case was registered against Haleem Adil Sheikh and his brothers at Memon Goth police station following a complaint from a citizen.

The complainant stated that Aleem, Haleem's brother, had promised to transfer ownership of a plot in a housing society in exchange for Rs60 million on November 26, 2019. However, it was later discovered that the original land documents did not exist. The complainant also claimed to have been threatened at gunpoint in a farmhouse for exposing the financial fraud.

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi granted a three-day physical remand to PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh in connection with a terror case registered at Mubina Police Station. Previously, an ATC had ordered his release on August 31, but he was re-arrested outside the court premises.

Sheikh remains one of the steadfast PTI leaders who have not left the party, despite his legal troubles.
