Former Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi, expressed deep disappointment at the inconclusive result of the Pakistan-India match in the Asia Cup.
In a statement, Najam Sethi mentioned that the biggest cricket match being affected by rain is disheartening, and in Sri Lanka, there is always a fear of rain during these days.
Najam Sethi stated that as PCB Chairman, he had advised the ICC to play matches in UAE, but various excuses were made to give events to Sri Lanka, claiming that UAE would be too hot.
He remarked that the weather in UAE during the Asia Cup was similar to the conditions during the IPL or the previous Asia Cup. He emphasized that prioritizing politics over sports is an unforgivable act.
It's worth noting that due to rain, the match between Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup 2023 ended inconclusively, with both teams earning one point each.
