In a surprise, PMLN hints at joining hands with PTI for countrywide protests

PML-N leader Ata Tarar has suggested the possibility of joining hands with PTI in protest if the Pakistani elections face delays. Speaking exclusively to ARY News, former SAPM and senior PML-N member Ata Tarar expressed his readiness to protest alongside Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in case the elections are postponed.

Tarar expressed confidence that the elections would occur in February of the next year.

However, he cautioned that if the elections were delayed, both Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz might unite in opposition. In response to a question, Tarar affirmed that PML-N could collaborate with PTI in protesting potential election delays.

Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) pledged to conduct the upcoming general elections peacefully and impartially in accordance with the Constitution and the law.

This assurance was made during meetings chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in Islamabad, where preparations for the elections were reviewed, and various officials attended these discussions.
