Islamabad: Pakistan has made the definitive decision to repatriate illegal foreign residents in the country, with expectations that illegal foreign residents will sell their assets until the expected deadline and be bound to return to their home countries.
According to details, a high-level meeting of the National Security Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq, was held, attended by Army Chief General Asim Munir, provincial chief ministers, Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, and Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan. The meeting included a briefing on measures against terrorism and actions against illegal foreign residents.
Various proposals were discussed to establish peace and security. In the Apex Committee meeting, a significant decision was taken regarding illegal foreign residents under the National Action Plan, making a final decision to repatriate them in Pakistan.
It is possible that a definite deadline will be given to expel illegal foreign residents, they will be bound to sell their assets until the expected deadline, and upon the expiration of the deadline, foreign nationals will be dispossessed of their properties in Pakistan.
According to sources, Afghan citizens can only travel to Pakistan through the legally implemented digitized "e-Tazkira," and only holders of "Proof of Registration" will be eligible for Afghan residency in Pakistan.
Sources mentioned that Afghan citizens holding legal visas will also be eligible to travel to Pakistan, while illegal Afghan residents in Pakistan will also be required to return to their home country before the possible deadline.
