Pakistan condemns terrorist attack killing 13 in Afghanistan

Pakistan has condemned the terrorist attack on an election rally in Nangarhar, Afghanistan that resulted in loss of precious lives and injuries to many others.

In a statement today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal said Pakistan reiterates its strong condemnation of the terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and expresses solidarity with the people and Government of Afghanistan in this hour of grief.

He said such cowardly acts cannot deter the people of Afghanistan from exercising their democratic right to elect their representatives.

He said Pakistan will continue to support the Afghan people and the government for durable peace and security in the country.

It may be recalled that at least thirteen people have been killed and thirty wounded in a suicide bomb attack in Kama District of Nangarhar Province on Tuesday.

According to spokesman of the Provincial Governor, the suicide bomber blew himself up at an election rally.
