Veteran Kurdish politician Barham Salih has been elected as new President of Iraq.
Barham Salih, a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan defeated his main rival Fuad Hussein of the Kurdistan Democratic Party by 219 votes to 22. (BBC/Aljazeera)
