KP government unveils plan for two mega hydropower projects

ISLAMABAD - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has planned to construct two dams in Khyber district to promote agriculture and generate employment opportunities for tribal youth.

Nine hundred and thirty million rupees have been set aside for this purpose.

On completion of these dams, it will help conserve water for irrigation and drinking purposes besides bringing the vast barren land under cultivation.

Similarly, two hundred million rupees will also be spent on extension and remodeling of Bara River canal system in Khyber district during current fiscal year.
