Pakistan Television (PTV) being reorganised by PTI government

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday directed completing the process of reorganization of Pakistan Television so that it could be made an established and vibrant institution.

The prime minister stated this while chairing a high level meeting about reorganization of Pakistan Television. A detailed briefing was given to the prime minister about the administrative, financial affairs and reorganization of the staterun televison.

The prime minister said that Pakistan Television had a great role in highlighting the national identity. He said the present government wanted to make Pakistan Television an independent institution so that it could play its role in highlighting the national identity and making the people aware.

The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant Yousuf Baig Mirza, Spokesman Nadeem Afzal Chann, Senator Faisal Javed, Secretary Information Shafqat Jalil, acting managing director PTV Hassan Amad Muhammadi and senior officials.
