KARACHI: Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhary Fawad Hussain visited the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) Complex here.
Director PSQCA Abdul Aleem Khan briefed the Federal Minister that the PSQCA has so far established and adopted around 22648 Standards, which include 6141 Pakitan-based Standards, said spokesperson for PSQCA Rehmatullah Memon.
The Federal Minister has directed to convene a joint meeting of the PSQCA and Hallal Food Authority (HFA).
He also directed to immediately introduce Amendment in the Service Rules-2015 as well as constitute a high-level committee within a month to take up the matters about the promotions of the officials and staffers of the PSQCA.
Chaudhary Fawad also directed to establish Standards on the toys and swings of the children.
The Federal Minister observed that the PSQCA is a self-finance organization, therefore, the fees structure and revenue generation steps should be reviewed.
He further directed on the National Quality Policy.
He also directed to convene a meeting of the Board of Directors of the PSQCA so as to simplify the operations of the Authority.
He directed the officials concerned to take measures to provide benefits to the people because provision of quality products is right of the masses.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated the PSQCA’s mobile phone application (PSQCA APP).
Later, he planted a sapling of “Neem Tree” at PSQCA office.
APP
