Pakistan Post to improve delivery services, enhance digital financial services

ISLAMABAD: Secretary Pakistan Post Dr Muhammad Saqib Aziz has announced Postal reform-agenda envisaging re-branding of all post offices, Pakistan Post logistic companies initiatives and mobile money solution.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad today (Wednesday), he expressed the confidence that it will bring positive change in the postal services.

He said that an agreement was signed between NADRA and PP for the renewal of CNICs and today 110 centers are working to serve the laymen in this regard.

The secretary categorically denied reports pertaining to the privatization of Pakistan Post and said that it is one of the oldest intuitions of the country and there is no law through which we can privatize it.

Speaking on the occasion, Director General Pakistan Post Dr. Naseer Ahmed Khan said that efforts are underway to better PP by formulating a comprehensive plan to improve delivery services and enhance digital financial services across the country.

He said that we serve the whole country and the private courier companies serve only in urban areas. He said that about 12000 offices are providing services to the public across the country. APP/AFP
