EU to respond firmly to US President's tariffs

European Union says it will respond firmly if US President Donald Trump presses ahead with his plan for steep global duties on metals.
EU trade chiefs are considering slapping 25 per cent tariffs on around 3.5 billion dollar imports from the US.
Meanwhile, World Trade Organization Director General Roberto Azevedo said a trade war is in no one's interests.
The US president has announced on Thursday that he plans to impose a 25 per cent tariff on steel imports and 10 percent on aluminum next week.APP/AFP
