China says US can't use pressure to force trade deal

Speaking at a news conference, Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen said it was irresponsible of United States to accuse China of backtracking.

Wang said if U.S. wants to force China to submit and make concessions this is absolutely impossible.

Wang said if the U.S. wants to talk, we will keep the door open and if they want a fight, we will fight till the end.

Meanwhile, speaking at Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore today, China’s Defence Minister Wei Fenghe warned United States not to meddle in security disputes over Taiwan and South China Sea.

Wei said if anyone dares to split Taiwan from China, the Chinese military has no choice but to fight at all costs saying China must be and will be reunified.

However, Wei said both sides realized that any war between the two would bring disaster to both countries and the world.
