Ghost government ministers unearthed in Punjab

LAHORE - After the ghost schools and other ghost government employees now the Ghost Ministers have been unearthed in the Provincial government budget in 2017-18, private TV channel has reported.
Documents reveal existence of seven ghost ministers in Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s cabinet as Punjab government has issued uplift funds for 40 ministers against the 33 listed in the provincial budget for the fiscal year 2017-18.
The budget document, compiled and presented by the Punjab government, states that the numbers of provincial ministers have increased to 40 from 25.
The matter becomes further complicated from the conflictory statements of cabinet wing services and general administration department and the finance department. The earlier counts number of minsters up to 33 while the latter has allocated funds for as much as 40 ministers.
On June 2, Punjab Finance Minister Ayesha Ghous Pasha presented provincial budget for fiscal year 2017-18 worth Rs. 1935 billion on Friday.
