China, India shouldn’t take any actions that further complicate situation in Ladakh: Zhao Lijian

ISLAMABAD-Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian has said that China and India should not take any actions that could further complicate the situation in Ladakh.

He said this during his regular briefing in Beijing while reacting to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise visit to a military base at Nimoo in Ladakh.

The spokesperson said both countries are in communication and negotiation on lowering the temperature through military and diplomatic channels.

He said our bilateral relations need to be held with the concerted efforts, Indian side should work with us towards the same goal, to uphold the general picture of our common interests in bilateral relations.
