IFJ condemns Kashmir editor’s arrest

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and its affiliated Indian Journalists Union have strongly criticized the arrest of a Srinagar-based newspaper editor by Indian administration in a 27-year-old case.
In a statement, the IFJ also criticized the circumstances of the raid and the misuse of law terming it as yet another attempt to muzzle the freedom of press in Occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, three persons were killed and four others critically injured when a van rammed into an Indian army vehicle in Ghagwal area of the district Samba today.
