ISLAMABAD – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal on Tuesday ordered a probe into the illegal allotment of land in Gwadar.
The anti-graft watchcdog has found that the illegal allotment of 3,167 acres caused a loss of over Rs70 billion to the national exchequer, officials said.
They further said officials of the Gwadar Industrial State Development Authority misused their power and illegally alloted commercial plots to their relatives.
The NAB chief directed head of the bureau’s Balochistan chapter to submit an inquiry report in this regard.
