In Syria, hundreds of Kurdish fighters have withdrawn from Manbij near the border with Turkey.
According to Syrian official sources, a convoy of units of four hundred Kurdish fighters comprised of more than 30 vehicles left the region of Manbij, heading towards the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
Earlier, Kurdish fighters appealed government forces to deploy to Manbij city for support against a threatened Turkish offensive, following a announcement that US troops would leave the country.
