Cricketer Imran Tahir reveals he left Pakistan to find his love

ISLAMABAD - Proteas spinner Imran Tahir is revealed to have quit playing for Pakistan owing to his love interest, a private media outlet reported on Friday.

It was reported that Tahir had met a fashion model named Saadia Dildaar in South Africa during U-19 World Cup held in South Africa in 1998 who refused to move to Pakistan with him.

The spinner left Pakistan for good in 2006 and began his cricket career from the Proteas side in the following time period. The cricketer played domestic cricket for five years and secured a place in the national eleven in 2011.

Dildaar and Tahir have a son named Jibran.
