Govt enhancing export, trade volume with neighboring countries: Asad

Finance Minister Asad Umer says the government is enhancing export and trade volume with neighboring countries to bring Pakistan on the road of development and prosperity.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the country's budget deficit was 230 billion rupees before the PTI government which was reduced by 130 billion rupees.
The Finance Minister said the PTI government has fulfilled its commitment with the nation by taking the country out of inherited financial crisis and is successfully managing the pending external payments.
He said the government's top priority is to minimize the financial deficit of the national institutions by improving their performance and enhancing professional capabilities.
Asad Umer said after successful foreign visits of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government has got a huge economic relief which would help putt back the national economy on track.
He said Pakistan has already received one billion dollars from Saudi Arabia while a huge economic package has also been got from China to overcome the crisis.
The Finance Minister said after managing the external balance payments, the government is not in hurry for a bailout package from IMF, as the financial matters for current year have been resolved.
He said the government has planned to reduce prices of gas and petrol next month.
