KARACHI – PTI’s Muhammad Aslam Khan, a newly-elected MNA from NA-254, has turned out to be a proclaimed offender in a smuggling case.
The Customs Court had declared Aslam Khan a proclaimed offender on October 29, 1997.
His opponent Sheikh Salahuddin of the MQM provided evidence to the returning officer.
Muhammad Aslam Khan was elected from Azizabad.
Sheikh Salahuddin told the returning officer that Aslam Khan had concealed his electoral documents and hence he is not ‘Sadiq’ and ‘Ameen’.
He said that he would submit an application in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to stop the victory notification of Aslam Khan.
