Opposition parties face another big setback

Supreme Court (SC) Sunday evening rejected the Joint Opposition’s plea to suspend link the ruling link of the Deputy Speaker link saying it cannot interfere in the proceedings of the National Assembly (NA).

The SC link also made the orders of the Prime Minister and the President of Pakistan conditional saying that any order of them after the dissolution of the Assemblies will be subject to the permission of the SC link.

The Apex Court has also issued notices to the Attorney General of Pakistan and all the stakeholders of the no-confidence motion for tomorrow link.

According to the 24News HD TV channel report, the SC link converted the case into the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umer Ata Bandial’s Suo Moto Notice and adjourned the hearing till March 04.

The SC link also issued notices to Home Secretary, Secretary of Defense, and Advocate General Punjab and a report was sought from the National Assembly secretary too. The court also issued notice to all the stakeholders of the no-confidence motion.
